CHBA Mission Statement: To provide an inclusive instrumental music program that promotes youth development, fosters peer camaraderie, instills respect for culture, and develops a pursuit of excellence. Fall & Spring Session Overview This form is for our Fall Session at Gaskill Elementary, 1603 East Euclid Avenue, Centennial, 80121. Beginning Band is a year-long program. We divide the time by Fall Session and Spring Session so students can opt-0ut if things don’t work out during the Fall Session. We don’t want students to leave the program, yet we understand some students cannot keep up with weekly practice and the challenge of learning a new instrument. It is an analog experience, not a video game, and students must give weekly time to their instrument. The Fall Session runs from September 13 to January 17. Wednesday rehearsals with an ‘Informance‘ presentation for parents and guests on January 17, 2024, at Gaskill Elementary. More Informance details to follow: The Spring Session runs from January 31 to May 15, with a formal concert on Sunday, May 19, at 2 pm. The traditional concert will feature all of the Colorado Honor Band ensembles. The Fall & Spring Sessions of Beginning Band tuition are each $268. That fee provides weekly instruction, music, and curriculum materials. Please note: Tuition must be paid by the second week of the session. There are no refunds.
