How Our Fundraising Works
Make our affordable music classes even more affordable! When you participate in these fundraising programs, you are specifically raising funds for your personal CHBA account. All dollars earned are recorded in our accounting software under your name and will appear as credits on your CHBA billing statements.
You may choose to use these funds towards books and materials, membership tuition, CHBA Summer Camp, or a CHBA tour. It’s up to you! Many families, for example, prefer to fundraise all year long and allow their funds to accrue until May, at which time they apply the entire amount towards that year’s Summer Camp.
We have several program options, but participation is completely optional and at your discretion. Participate as much or as little as you wish!
Finally, don’t be afraid to be creative and get your friends and family involved! We had one clever parent who got King Soopers cards for all of her relatives who shopped at King Soopers and we linked each card to her CHBA account. As a group, they collectively helped her raise much more than she would have raised alone, and they accomplished this simply by doing their regular grocery shopping!

Scrip Program
How does it work?
Great Lakes Scrip Company contracts with hundreds of retailers to sell their gift cards. They, in turn, sell them to non-profit organizations, such as CHBA. You buy these gift cards at face value and redeem them at face value, but you also earn a rebate back for your CHBA account for each card ordered. The cards are shipped to CHBA, and you may pick them up when you come to rehearsal.
How much do I earn?
The retailers offer a 2-16% rebate on all orders. CHBA splits the percentage earned in an 60-40 split. You earn 60% for your account, and CHBA earns 40% to cover the shipping and handling costs of the cards and the banking expenses.
How do I get started?

King Soopers Card Program
How does it work?
By signing up your rewards card and linking it to CHBA, you earn back a rebate for your personal CHBA account.
How much do I earn?
You earn 3% of each dollar amount uploaded to your King Soopers rewards card. We receive a report from King Soopers at the end of each month, and we credit your account accordingly.
How do I get started?
To link your rewards card to CHBA, simply register your King Soopers/City Market rewards card – search for Colorado Honor Band then click Enroll. For King Soopers click here. For City Market click here.
World’s Finest Chocolates Program
How does it work?
You purchase the World’s Finest Variety Pack from CHBA. Sell to friends and family. It is that simple, students earn $27 to towards their tuition or camp fees.
How much do I earn?
The Chocolate Bar Variety Pack sells for $2 per bar. The variety pack includes 12 Almond, 6 Dark Chocolate, 6 Milk Chocolate with Carmel, and 6 Wafer Crisp. Students earn 45% for their accounts ($27 per pack).
